DYING: A Book of Comfort

Companion website about dying, bereavement, loss, grief — and aging with spirit

The Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ) and the American Society of Journalists & Authors (ASJA) have organized a joint gathering at the Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences. There we can mingle and chat and enjoy a special tour.

WHEN:
Tuesday Dec. 9, 2008
6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m.

WHY:
Launch the holiday season with a chance to catch up with fellow writers, visit exhibits on infectious disease and global warming and enjoy a light buffet.

WHERE:
The Koshland Science Museum is at 6th and E Sts. NW, close to the Gallery Place metro station.

Co-sponsored by the Washington chapters of the Association of Health Care Journalists and the American Society of Journalists and Authors.

HOW MUCH:
The museum has kindly waived its event fee for us, but we do have to pay for the food.
Cost is $20 per person, which includes one of two food selections:

MENU:
A) Portobello Mushroom Wrap
Grilled Portobello Mushrooms, Marinated Green Zucchini, Roasted Yellow Squash and Roasted Red Peppers, Feta Cheese Greek Vinaigrette in a Spinach Tortilla with Chef's choice salad.
Choice of Beverage and Dessert (cookie or brownie)

B) Healthy Meal
Citrus Marinated Chicken Breast Served with Vegetable Couscous, Green Beans and Chopped Garden Salad with Low Fat Dressing.
